Under the direction of OVPIA leadership, our offices support the university's international educational and research goals at home and abroad by providing resources and programs for faculty, students, and alumni.

Office of Overseas Study

Facilitates and oversees study abroad for IU students; gives need- and merit-based scholarships and works to keep programs affordable; helps students integrate study abroad into their academic plans and on-time graduation.

Office of International Services

Provides support and immigration services for international students, faculty, and visiting scholars; oversees international student recruitment, admissions, orientation, and advising processes; assists international students and scholars with financial matters, tax issues, and personal issues.

Global Gateway Network

Connects the IU community to strategically important countries around the globe through a network of offices that help IU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners advance their academic and professional interests in those countries and regions.

Office of International Partnerships

Develops and oversees university-wide partnerships with strategically important educational institutions abroad; develops and administers university-wide exchange programs for faculty and students; coordinates review and approval of other international academic activities.

Office of International Development

Administers externally funded contracts and grants that provide technical assistance and institution-building support in developing countries.

IUPUI Office of International Affairs

Serves as the hub of international activities at the Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis campus; coordinates recruitment, admissions, and support for international students at IUPUI and visa services for international students and scholars; administers IUPUI study abroad programs; supports the internationalization of the IUPUI curriculum.

Honors Program in Foreign Languages

Offers high school students in Indiana “total immersion” foreign language programs in China, France, Germany, Mexico, and Spain.
