IU China Gateway office move

The IU China Gateway has moved to the Global Trade Center, equidistant from the Lama Temple to the south and Beijing Olympic Park to the north, and a ten-minute walk to the Beijing Subway (which will become a three-minute walk with the opening of a new station in 2020). The new offices retain resources for IU faculty, students, and staff, and feature larger and more versatile event spaces.

Closer to the center of Beijing and the Central Business District, the new Gateway also provides more convenient access to tourist attractions, shopping, and a number of IU partner universities. From its 27th floor location, visitors have panoramic views of the city including the CBD to the south and the Olympic “Bird’s Nest” stadium and mountains beyond to the north. The Sheraton Grand Hotel is in the same complex, and there are numerous budget options nearby.

Services to all members of the Indiana University community—here and in China—continue as usual in the new surroundings. Users will find the staff as welcoming as before and the new space more accessible, functional, and hospitable.
