The Office of International Partnerships facilitates opportunities for the IU community through its relationships with higher education institutions, organizations, and governments at home and abroad. This extensive network expands possibilities for collaboration on faculty research and teaching, study abroad and exchange programs for students, dual degree programs with top-ranked international universities, internships and other professional development activities, and the development of institutions and organizations.
The Office of International Partnerships works closely with IU faculty and staff at all stages of partnership development and management, including:
- Providing guidance on the development of international partnerships and agreements with overseas institutions, including those that involve cross-border activities.
- Helping to identify the best possible partners for each school’s international endeavors through our Global Gateway offices and our existing network of contacts.
- Assisting with the review and approval process of agreements with overseas institutions, functioning as a liaison between multiple administrative offices to ensure that all policies, regulations, and laws are followed and risks minimized.
